We have published Scandinavican research in rhetoric since 1997, when the first issue of Rhetorica Scandinavica was produced.
In 2001 our first Scandinavian monograph - Professor Anders Sigrell's "Att övertyga mellan raderna" [xx]; in 2008 we published - in a cooperation with Örebro university and University of Cape Town - our first all english anthology, "Women's Rhetoric".
Formally, Retorikförlaget is a Swedish firm, but we would rather call ourselves a Scandinavian publishing house specialized on rhetoric.
is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to promoting scholarly discussion of rhetoric, and research into role of rhetoric in shaping modern knowledge. It aims to bring together researchers across Scandinavia, and publishes information about relevant conferences, seminars and PhD presentations. Users of the online edition may access details of the contents of each issue and a summary of selected articles. The journal archive is searchable and contains issues of Rhetorica Scandinavica from January 1997. Articles have covered such topics as: the visual rhetoric of September 11; rhetoric and the body; rhetoric and ethics in TV documentaries; women and rhetoric in 18C Sweden. The site is linked to the related publications Svenska RetorikMagasinet and Danske RetorikMagasinet, and to a bookshop specialising in materials relating to the study of rhetoric. The site contains contents and drafts from the journal but there is also an extensive collection of e-articles that are freely available as PDF-files.
